This project was developed over the summer period in between university years. This game was developed using TortoiseSVN source control for the project source code which was created using Unity3D between myself and two fellow students.
progress so far includes:
- mood boards
- ganntt chart
- level designs
- narrative + backstory
- dialogue
- prototype game play mechanics
This project was developed with the intention of producing a product worthy of exposure under a company name, unfortunately due to university work and personal issues the set up of this company and the continued development of the game have had to be put on hold for the time being.
images listed below:
light house, one of the games crucial light sources
screenshot of one of the rooms in the starting house
screenshot of mechanics being tested, in this case the ability to control reflection points along a beam of light
screenshot of level(map) design document, describing randomly generated traps and item drops and layouts.
screenshot of design document outlining the plot, narrative and backstory of the game.
This table displays the tiers of items, traps and their corresponding rooms, this allows the programmers to create the correct pools for procedural generation.
ganntt charts were used throughout development to discuss, delegate and work through tasks effectively.
finally the screenshot above shows the back story and descriptions for the proposed characters within the game.
